the peoples of agharttha
not all people are common, though most people in Agharttha are. The common race are indistinguishable from surface humans, and make up a large portion of the Aghartthan population. Another large portion is made up by the anthromorphs, those who resemble animals. Finally, the other scattered peoples are grouped as 'magical beings,' due to their high propensity for innate magic relative to the other races.

common
The common race makes up a large populous of Agharttha, but do not necessarily have any more or less respect than any other peoples. They possess a variety of phenotypes, similar to the surface above, but due to travel there is a great spread of phenotypes, rather than collections of similar phenotypes within a realm as seen on surface countries.
Among the common race are those who entered Agharttha from the surface. They are indistinguishable from common peoples, and tend to blend in to avoid standing out. They are referred to as 'surface dwellers,' or 'surface walkers.' They are a relatively new group, as the tunnels to the surface were closed off for centuries, but since the opening of gates in the west, surface dwellers have been finding their way into the new land.

anthromorphs
A large and particularly diverse racial group are collectively known as anthromorphs. Similar to the common peoples, they look mostly human, save for key features that resemble animals. Generally, these traits are minimal; limited to their ears, limbs or the inclusion of a tail. Some groups are half-creatures, and only half of their form resembles that of a human.
The sheer diversity of anthromorphs make them difficult to categorize. They are grouped by the general species they resemble, similar to the surface scientific names. Often there are subgroups, that assign themselves their own identity, and it's uncommon for anthromorphs to feel a sense of familiarity with those within their group simply because of how great the differences often are within them.

magical beings
Magical beings are scattered across the realms, notable for their high affinity for innate magic. Compared to most peoples, they tend to be solitary, rather than being drawn to communities. It is not uncommon to meet a magical being in the middle of nowhere just going about their day.
Some examples of magical beings include talking animals, sprites, werepeople, etc.

Due to the casual atmosphere of this group, we allow multiple characters! They will be applied and approved via the discord server, which may include discussion regarding their background (particularly elements that relate to the lore of the world).

Prospective players will apply with a character concept.
During stage 1, players will submit a basic character concept that will become their full character app later. You are welcome to provide 1-3 character concepts, all of which can become future characters if your application is approved. Only 1 can be your initial character. If accepted, you are welcome to choose any of these characters to submit first.
Your concept pitch does not require any art. Art will be required for the final application.
The submission form will include some questions about yourself, so we as mods can learn a little more about you to decide whether you are a good fit for the group. Applications are not gacha, we are selecting with the goal of including a wide range of character concepts that add variety to the worldbuilding.
